If the 49ers are to snap a four-year playoff drought (and 23-year Lombardi Trophy vanishing act), they absolutely need to hold serve at home. There are plenty of questions about how this defense will perform, from the scheme to the personnel, but we just have to accept the fact there isn’t enough information to accurately predict how it might turn out.
